Specialist Neuro Speech and Language Therapy for Professionals

Collaborative assessment, rehabilitation and consultancy for adults with neurological communication difficulties.

Get In Touch

I work alongside case managers, healthcare professionals and organisations to provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy for adults with brain injury and neurological conditions.

With experience across NHS services, specialist rehabilitation settings and independent practice, I offer a collaborative approach that supports individuals within their wider rehabilitation pathway.

Whether you require assessment, therapy, training, consultation or ongoing clinical input, I work closely with teams to understand the goals of the individual and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations.

Medico-Legal Work

I provide medico-legal Speech and Language Therapy services, including assessment, reports, rehabilitation recommendations and therapy for adults with communication and swallowing changes following brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions.

I can work independently or as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, attending case conferences and rehabilitation meetings, contributing to goal setting and providing specialist advice throughout the rehabilitation process.

My reports are clear, clinically robust and tailored to the individual, supporting a shared understanding of their communication and, where relevant, swallowing needs, together with the impact these changes have on everyday life and rehabilitation.

Working With Teams

I enjoy working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and recognise the value of bringing different perspectives together.

I can contribute to rehabilitation planning, join team meetings, provide communication advice and work alongside professionals to support consistent approaches across environments.

"From Emma, I have seen a great breadth of knowledge which extends beyond the SLT area. [I have seen] skill in online meetings that I was taught in training courses, all deployed in an approach to me that was tailored to what I would engage with."

Training

I love sharing ideas and helping others feel more confident when supporting people with communication changes following brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions.

Drawing on my clinical experience, creativity and passion for developing meaningful therapy, I design and deliver bespoke training for healthcare professionals, support staff, organisations and community teams. Every session is tailored to the needs of the people attending and combines current evidence with practical, creative approaches that can be applied in everyday clinical practice.

Whether you're looking to develop your understanding of cognitive-communication disorders, aphasia, communication partner strategies or person-centred rehabilitation, my aim is for you to leave with new knowledge, fresh ideas and greater confidence to put them into practice.

Group Work

Group rehabilitation offers valuable opportunities to develop communication skills, build confidence and learn from others with shared experiences.

I design and facilitate group programmes that are tailored to the goals of the individuals taking part. Whether the focus is on communication, confidence, education or returning to everyday activities, sessions are practical, engaging and centred around meaningful participation.

Supervision, Mentoring & Consultation

I enjoy working alongside other professionals and believe some of the best ideas come from learning together.

I offer clinical supervision for Speech and Language Therapists, alongside mentoring and consultation for other healthcare professionals working with adults following brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions. Whether you're looking for regular supervision, support with a complex case or an opportunity to develop your knowledge and confidence, I provide a collaborative space to reflect, problem-solve and explore practical solutions together.
